The Bryman College reserves the right to photograph members of the University community, including but not limited to, its students and faculty, in situations appropriate to the image of an academic institution. These photos may be used in University publications, marketing materials, social media or on the University website.
The University will, to the extent feasible, honor requests from those who do not wish to have their images photographed or published.
How to have your photo removed
If your photograph has been published on the University’s website, social media, or in other marketing materials and you wish to have it removed, email email@example.com with a link to the page or post that contains the relevant photo.
The University's text messaging service gives you the option to subscribe to receive text messages from the Bryman College (“BC”) on your mobile device regarding the admission process. Subscribing to this service is not required to apply for or gain admission to BC.
If you consent to receive text messages, the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment will send you information regarding your admission process. The messages might be related to your application status, include financial aid deadlines, and related events details. This service is to provide you information via text messaging about matters that BC deems helpful and pertinent to the admission process. Message frequency varies.
All costs associated with receiving a text message are the responsibility of the individual receiving the message. Receiving mobile text messages from BC is completely free of charge. However, text messaging rates from your wireless carrier still apply. Check with your mobile operator for details on receiving text messages (SMS). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
All users may opt-out or unsubscribe from receiving optional text messages from the BC Office of Undergraduate Recruitment at any time by responding to the text message itself or by contacting the BC Office of Undergraduate Recruitment at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you elect to opt-out, Text STOP to cancel. You will no longer receive text messages from the BC Office of Undergraduate Recruitment unless you were to re-subscribe to such services.
BC may make changes to this policy to comply with necessary legal and regulatory requirements, or in instances where BC upgrades or alters its technological services.

Email addresses appearing on the University’s site are published to facilitate private, individual communication between the University community and our visitors. BC websites are designed to prohibit the non-approved automated harvesting of email addresses from the University’s sites.

As a BC website user, you have the right to access your personal information held by the University. You also have the right to ask the University to correct any inaccuracies in your held personal information.

There are several laws, including the Family Educational and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) that give website users certain rights pertaining to their personal information.
How to remove your private information
The Bryman College uses appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from being accessed by unauthorized persons and processing, accidental loss, and destruction and damage.
We also make all reasonable efforts to protect personal data from external threats, such as malicious software or hacking. Inherent risks, however, are always present when sending information through public networks or using public computers, and thus we cannot guarantee 100% security of all data sent to us.
To increase the security of your data, the University retains your personal data no longer than:

The criteria used to determine the amount of time your data is retained is based on:

- the purpose for which the data was provided and whether retaining the data is needed in connection with that purpose
- further specific guidance issued by relevant regulatory authorities on data retention/erasure including, but not limited to, EU regulatory authorities.
When your personal data is no longer needed by the University, it is either erased and/or anonymized so it can no longer be used to identify you.
